The Free Range Sisterhood is so much more than a race event. We support local Hampton Roads women through their journey with cancer.
To date our foundation has been able to help a variety of women and their families with moral support, advice, mastectomy and chemotherapy aids, and help with household and medical bills while undergoing treatment. If you are or know a sister that has been diagnosed we would love to support her!

"Since being diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer this past June, I have felt the love & support of my community over & over again. Specifically, when the Free Range Sisters found out I had a double mastectomy - they wasted no time reaching out directly to ask how I was doing and if they could deliver an electric reclining chair. It was so kind and very much needed - I could barely get off the couch on my own after the surgery. They delivered it on the same day, assembled it for me - and regularly checked in with me. They are a GODSEND and doing great things for breast cancer awareness and breast cancer support. Thank you Free Range Sisters!"
"In the fall of 2020 I heard the worst news I had breast cancer. It hit me hard as I had never been sick, lived a healthy life, exercise, eat organic, no family history. I have done everything right and still got cancer. This is where Heather with Free Range Sisters (Frick & Frick) came to my rescue. I am not a very public person, most people still don’t know what my family and I have been through, but I shared the news with a few friends and luckily one of them introduced me to Heather. From moral support before and after treatments, answering questions ( a lot of them), delivering baskets with things I didn’t know I would need, speciality chair for after surgery this organization played a huge role in me getting better. I don’t know what I would have done without them. It was really a blessing to have this organization locally and I will be their biggest supporter for the rest of my life."
the crushing weight of needing to fight for your life, you don't really have the tools to be all that helpful. Frick and Frack came through with a HUGE basket of goodies left quietly on my porch that contained everything a cancer patient truly needs. Everything from cozy shirts that snap open right where the chemo port access is, to medical-grade lotions, essential oils, and a gravity blanket for those times when the ache in your bones is too much to bear. And as wonderful as all of that was, it was the letter that did it. My eyes well up in tears just remembering how I felt "heard and understood" in that time of confusion and worry. Yes, I pray that we get closer to a cure for this horrific disease, but until then we need caring warriors like the women at Frick and Frack to take care of those of us trudging through the treatment."

"When I was diagnosed at Christmastime I was flooded with cards and calls...so much support and love that was heartwarming. But unless you have been there and felt
